Robin Hammond.

Robin is one of the two co-founders of Enhanced Datasystems Ltd.

He has 13 years of equity research experience, having held positions as Head of Asian Banks Research at ABN Amro and Paribas Asia Equity, Head of HK and China Research at Paribas Asia Equity, Head of Asian Research at Bear Stearns, Deputy Head of HK & China Research at James Capel (HSBC), and a Senior Analyst at SBCI Asia (Swiss Bank).

While at ABN Amro, Robin sat on the global database development committee, and was the pioneer user of the ABN's database system globally. This involved extensive development and debugging work with the programmers and designers of the system, as a result of which he had a strong influence on its functionality. In particular, he developed complex models and techniques within Excel accessing the ABN database.

Notable examples include a publication termed AAA Banks Metrics. This product was fully automated, extracting all data on 70 banks in 10 countries from the ABN database into Excel, formatting the data and related charts for publication within Excel, then exporting this data directly into Word in finished form. The result was a 280+ page data bible that could be produced at 45 minutes notice, ready for production, most of which time was spent dealing with Excel 97's erratic charting engine.

He has developed the XspandXL add-in for Excel which focuses on worksheet auditing and chart manipulation. This product focuses on complex modeling and report production.

He is a Microsoft Certified Professional, holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computing, and developed his interest in programming in 1979. He has worked in Basic, Fortran, Pascal, Lisp, Prolog, VB script, Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications, and even used to develop in Machine and Assembly Languages when computers were tiny and memory was scarce.
